I’m in the process of taking inventory all my equipment and collection, for personal and insurance purposes. Just in case. Anyway, I came across a digital camera that my Dad passed along to me – a Nikon CoolPix 990. I think it came out around 2000ish? Well, he had a few converter lenses, one being a mean fisheye. It is a totally different piece, one that I would never be able to find a converter to put onto my D80 — it would be like trying to connect a dime to a dollar coin.
Anyway, I held the piece up to my eye when I came across it and it was amazing! Out of curiousity and experimentation, I grabbed my D80 with the macro lens, held the fisheye lens on the macro lens and got some interesting, fun, slightly toy-camera-like results in the other photos I took. This is our living room…
This is my office, where I spend a lot of the time. Doesn’t feel like work when I’m here and that is what I love the most.
I’ll be bringing the fisheye lens out some moreĀ in the mountains or around Denver to see what other results I can garner. Thanks again for the donation, Dad.

Another shot from the Denver photo shoot inside Union Station. There are a few elements that intrigue me about this shot, I’m curious to learn what your thoughts are.

My little little sister turned 21 mid-November. How fitting would it be to take her to Denver’s best piano bar when she came out to visit with my parent’s over Thanksgiving? (so very appropriate).
This is an image I shot while we were sitting down earlier in the night – I love the reflection in the piano from off the opposite wall (so very fitting).
I’ll throw some mad props – yes, raise your hands – if you could point me out in the mirror behind him.
If you ever do get to visit Denver, try and make the trip to Sing Sing. So worth it.
