Anyway

My brother- and sister-in-law took all of us to Mercury Cafe in Denver for dinner tonight. It’s a restaurant that strives to be as organic and as local (food) as they can. Mercury Cafe also boasts that they are powered by wind and sun – the atmosphere is 100% boho and hippie. If you’re into live poetry readings, jazz, dance lessons, tea, fair trade coffee, vegetarian & organic foods and more, wander on over there. Honestly, the only complaint I had was the service – not horrible by any means, but I’ve had better. However, I’d love to visit again to see some of the open mic or any other of the entertainment nights.

So back to the photo. The tone of the cafe really played a part when I found this written in very tiny letters on a wall. Very free-spirited and I needed to share it with you because it captures the feeling of the building and people.

Gone Drinkin'

Hubbie’s birthday festivities have been lit up this weekend already. Some friends from Chicago have flown in already and we took them to Red Rocks, gambling in Blackhawk/Central City, dinner at the Dam Brewery and now are now about to continue the boozing at the condo in the mountains.

Took a ton of pictures today, and Central City was especially sweet. After a comment about having to choose from all the pictures I took during today’s events for my blog post tonight, one of The Visitors wrote this note up for me in good humor and I couldn’t resist posting it instead.

I’ve gone drinking, see you tommorow with a post about the aftermath of Margaritaville.
